In BioWare claim that Mass Effect Andromeda was a milestone and that such a game can no longer be repeated

Last year to Electronic Arts was not a year to remember, just like for their BioWare, once the largest RPG studio in the industry. This year rumors have emerged that the next BioWare project, the action-based Sci-Fi game Anthem, was in big trouble, which was somewhat confirmed by the delay of it for 2019. Many saw this situation as the last chance for BioWare - if they blow it, no one would have been surprised that Electronic Arts send them to history, just like they did with a bunch of other studios.

In order to beautify the situation and bring optimism among the most hardcore fans, from Electronic Arts and BioWare have somehow synchronized the promises that everything will be in the best order. First, the financial director of Electronic Arts said that in the monetization of future games, the company will not sacrifice its relationship with customers, and then the general manager of BioWare out of nowhere decided to turn to fans and explain why Anthem will be a great game, and not a total failure.

“When I returned to BioWare last summer, Mass Effect: Andromeda had just been released,” reads Hudson’s blog. “There was a significant movement among players asking for a story DLC that would answer questions surrounding the fate of the quarians. As you know, we were not able to deliver story DLC for Andromeda — this was as frustrating for us as it was for players, and it was something we knew we had to solve in future games.

That experience ultimately became a defining moment in refocusing BioWare’s mission,” said Hudson. “We need to delight players with new experiences and innovation, but we must stay focused on the importance of the world, character, and storytelling elements that players expect from our games. And our games must be designed to continue delivering new stories and experiences, in an ongoing relationship with players in the worlds we’re evolving together.”- says Casey Hudson.

In translation, Hudson used to speak with zero speech - he said everything and nothing, but it is a good thing that BioWare is aware that Mass Effect Andromeda has failed.
