Netflix is working in a Magic: The Gathering anime series

Magic: The Gathering or simply, Magic Cards, is one of the most famous collectible card games in the world. Adolescents and adults from all over the world gather to exchange spells, creatures and other objects found in these cards, and thus fight against each other. The 'fandom' is such that there are international tournaments played by the best players, and some of their most precious cards can cost several thousand euros.

This week, Netflix has announced its union with the company Wizards of the Coasta, the creator of the franchise, to develop an animation series based on this popular game. For their creation have decided to have the wisdom of Anthony and Joe Russo, directors of Avengers: Endgame, who will be responsible for it to give life to a story with meaning that expand what we already know of the 'planeswalkers'.

Also, as you can see in the tweet on these lines, the platform of 'streaming' has decided to use an image of one of the most powerful characters, Chandra Nalaar, to announce that finally, after 25 years of history, the Magic Cards they jump to the screen.

It should be noted that previously there have been several attempts to transfer these ideas to film or television, but until now there was not a project in which to leave all our hopes and is that Netflix can rely.
