Hugs.tf: a TF2 charity event (with rewardl for donators)

  • 42

Those who heard or participated in the well-known TF2 charity events,Tip of the Hats or Rally Call will like this one: hugs.tf. Hugs.tf is - aside from a site where you'll find all information - a 4-year-old streaming and gaming event for the Special Effect charity, who helps people with disabilities enjoy life through the power of video games

About Hugs.tfhttps://hugs.tf/img/medal.png

What's Hugs.tf? Well, a bunch of nice people streaming our favorite hat-simulator Team Fortress 2... and other games. Public servers, competitive play, jumping and eh, a few hours where they play anything but TF2. And lots and lots of fun! They also have some nice guests, so head over to the page to see who'll participate or see their schedule. Since it's 4 years of existing, they managed to collect £3000 for charity

So, they're doing it for Special Effect? Why would you donate? Simple, that nice feeling you'll get! Oh and also, you'll get this awesome-looking in-game medal when you donate at least £10 (about $13), either money or in-game items such as keys, unusuals and more.

The event will start May 6th at 17:00 (5 pm) BST.

About Special Effect

Special Effect helps kids with physical disabilities. They can't go outside and play catch with their buddies, walk the dog and may miss a lot of their life. Luckily we have games, providing a healing entertainment for them. Playing together with others, or just being able to enjoy games (with specially crafted controllers, to make sure they can enjoy the games) helps them a lot. Also, gaming can have a great impact on therapy, both mental (fighting fears, building up confidence and happiness) and physical (rehabilitation).

You'll have to wait to donate cash, but you can already give in-game items (both will count towards amount to get the medal!). Don't forget to tune in May 6th!

(Note: I am not affiliated with Hugs.tf, Scrap.tf or Special Effect. I am sharing this out of my own interest and to raise awareness about this great project.)
