Next DLC's for Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator
During the last 2 months of 2019, the Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well as the American Truck Simulator community got a new DLC, which gave them a whole bunch of new cities and countries to drive to. For Euro Truck Simulator 2 that was the DLC, called Road to the Black Sea (published 5th December 2019) and for American Truck Simulator that was Utah (published 7th November 2019).
Road to the Black Sea
This DLC brought 3 new countries and 20 major cities to the game Euro Truck Simulator 2: Romania, Bulgaria and the European part of Turkey. It gave the players over 10.000 kilometers of new roads to explore with lots of beautiful landmarks which are typical for the regions.
Utah
This DLC brought 3.500 miles of new roads to the game American Truck Simulator as well as 10 major cities. This DLC also brought a new approach to the creation of rock and other natural formations to the game, which are very beautiful when you drive through them.
International LoneStar
The International Lonestar made his appearance in American Truck Simulator around the 10th of December 2019. This truck is the sixth truck to join the already existing fleet. This American beauty is recognizable by its shape, size, and large front grill. Did you know that the shape of this truck is based on an old classic within the International truck fleet? You can read all about that here.
Two new road DLC's!
After the recently published new content for both games, SCSSoftware is not planning of taking some time off in their development for both games. A couple of days after the release of above mentioned DLC's, they already announced two new DLC's that will come the community's way: Idaho for ATS and Iberia for ETS2.
Idaho
Idaho is a northwestern U.S. state known for mountainous landscapes, and vast swaths of protected wilderness and outdoor recreation areas. The capital, Boise, is set in the Rocky Mountain foothills and is bisected by the Boise River, which is popular for rafting and fishing.
The state covers two time zones, runs from Canada to Nevada, and encompasses the western side of the continental divide of the Rocky Mountains. Rivers, mountains and farmland dominate the state’s landscape. The panhandle has emerald green hillsides, timbered mountains and pristine lakes. Central Idaho is covered with jagged peaks. The Snake River Plain, with its wide open vistas, irrigated farm lands and vibrant cities forms the character of Southern Idaho.
Iberia
The Iberian Peninsula – or simply, Iberia – is a peninsula located in the southwest corner of Europe. The peninsula is the second largest peninsula on the continent in terms of size, taking up over 596,740 km² (230,000 mi²). It is also the second most populous peninsula in Europe with a population of over 57 million people.
This region has over 2,000 miles of coastline and is home to multiple major rivers including the Ebro and the Tagus. Most of the Iberian Peninsula is mountainous with major mountain systems including the Pyrenees, the Sistema Central, and the Baetic System, just to name a few.
When these two new DLC's are going to be released is yet unknown. It will definitely take another couple of months before the community will be able to drive through those new cities, but at least SCSSoftware informs their community that they are not sitting still after their recent achievements. During the entire development of these two DLC's, the community will be able to follow the progress through the official SCSSoftware's blog, which can be found here.
