Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reduces system requirements.

The new romp through a Soviet era timeline has gotten a new specs table. In the words of Dr. Hubert J. Farnsworth "Good news everyone!"  The hardware requirements have been scaled back (although the finished game is still massive. Let us Compare.

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
  • VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest Service Pack)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent

  • HDD: 45GB HD space

The requirements haven't changed for video but we see that the CPU requirement's have dropped dramatically with a slight cut to system memory (potato gamers rejoice). The Multi-player has gone up but can we just take a minute to admire the shear size of the full game. It is truly massive. Kind of scary for those who have smaller SSDs.

What do you think? Leave a comment below and let's discuss.

HDD: 175GB?

WTF? And where will I put it. I feel sorry for what you have SSD.

Besides, the rest of the requirements are fine.

I guess this is nice for peeps with basic machines, but I think there should be a more advanced option for really high end GPUs.

There will be. the lower of requirements form the beta means they were able to "polish" the game more. So with higher settings, it should also run better than how it would run at higher settings in the beta.

Looks like folks require an upgrade! /joking. The fact that they list an HDD as a requirement shows that the required read speed is going to be under 600 Mbps. I believe that is what they are going for when releasing the specs.
