BioWare has just announced Mass Effect Legendary Edition

The big secret is out, during N7 day celebration BioWare announced Mass Effect Legendary Edition. This edition will include all first three Mass Effect games from the original trilogy which released between 2007 and 2012 with all the additional in-game content such as weapons, armor and packs. 

On their website they stated they been working on them for many months already. Their goal is not to remake or reimagine the original games, but to modernize the experience so the fans and new players can experience the original work in its best possible form.

So what can we expect - The games will be optimized for 4K Ultra HD visuals with updated textures, shaders, models, effects, technical features and faster frame rates.

It will be available in Spring 2021 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. More information to come in the new year!

Also meanwhile at BioWare, a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe. They are in early stages on the project and can't say any more just yet, but are looking forward to sharing their vision for where it will be going next.
