Show off your Battlestations

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing holiday season and are staying healthy.

Like many of you, I spend the majority of my day at my PC. Not just for work and caring for the lovely people at Alienware Arena but also to play some of my favorite games!

I wanted to see all of our member's awesome setups and where you game. Now, it can be anything really, a PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, or even Phone! Show me your gaming stations, or your favorite place to kick up your feet and game.

Post your pictures below :)

Very Nice question ! It's like asking an artist what his own creative corner looks like :)

I have a wooden shelf that rests on the edge of my table and with the other edge lies on the windowsill as ''a support'' of it. on this wooden shelf is placed everything that bothers me on the table. on this wooden shelf at the center lying my laptop to which I often connect my hard drives :) my old iron lamp (iron better than those plastic lamps) is attached to this wooden shelf (has dimensions of 100 length x 50 widht).

I'm so lame, my set up is a broken laptop sitting on a shelf hehe.

awww, well its the experiance from the game that's the most important. I remember playing Skyrim on my 13lb 17in Alienware Laptop in my bedroom on an upsidedown laundry basket on the floor. Then I upgraded to a foldable tv dinner tray lol. Finally, after about 2 years, I was able to build my PC with a real (hammy down) desk haha! Now after some years, I have a custom desk and monitor stand that I built to house my pc! Hopefully within the next year, I can start building a new PC. Mine is pushing 6 years XD

My set-up's a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 I got from family because it was falling apart and I was the smart family member who was good with electronics. This specific model has an annoying issue where the screws near the hinges are not properly secured, leading to it loosening over time. Given the screws were near the hinges, the constant stress from opening and closing the laptop would eventually snap the laptop's frame and break the whole thing if left unattended for too long. Up until recently, I had to regularly tighten the screws at the base to keep it from falling apart. Kind of a hassle but I love this thing aside from that minor flaw.

The thing I learned a while back is that you can swap this model's middle screws, below the monitor, with the ones near the hinges. For some unfathomable reason, the screws near the monitor seem to be slightly longer than the ones near the hinges despite that area, by all accounts, being subject to less stress. The only purpose of those screws according to the manual is to secure the palm rest to the frame (and the motherboard, but nothing else besides those two, really) which the slightly shorter screw does just fine. The shorter screw in fact does the longer screw's job so adequately that I'm almost convinced that the manufacturer mixed up the screws between those points and never realized the swap since it makes no sense to use the longer and more secure screw in the unstressed area and the shorter and less secure screw in the more vulnerable area. Ever since I did that, the maintenance required has dropped off dramatically, to the point that I do the tightenings more out of routine than anything. The screws barely budge now compared to the near-daily tightenings it needed before.

...Okay, okay, it's a random repair tip but it might help someone out... Also, I like the old internet thing where rare, useful advice could be found in weird and unlikely forums. Cheers!
