New Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 Desktop Takes Gaming to New Heights
Hey Desktop users, this ones for you. We’re bringing in the new year with the all new Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10, designed for creators and gamers alike. With AMD’s latest Ryzen™ 5000 Series desktop processors and your choice of new AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 XT series graphics or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs and it doesn’t stop there - you can also future-proof the new Aurora. With its tool-less upgradeable chassis now supporting up to 128GB Dual Channel HyperX™ FURY DDR4 RAM[4] - twice the memory of previous generations.
Ok but lets talk about the new AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 XT series graphics that is now featured in the Aurora R10. The AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is still based on a 7nm (nanometer) manufacturing process. Rather than shrinking the die, AMD has worked included new features and boosted efficiency, which makes these GPU's way more powerful than their predecessors. The biggest of these is the new Infinity Cache.
The Infinity Cache is about 128MB of global cache, which AMD asserts is 3.25x faster than GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus. The other major addition to the architecture is, of course, DirectX 12 Ultimate-compatible Ray Accelerators. There are one of these on each of the 72 Compute Units, which is what lets the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT be able to handle real time ray tracing at playable framerates.
Now along with the AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 XT series graphics and all of its features you get to experience the all new AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin, developed to elevate your gaming experience. Take advantage of features that deliver a truly immersive experience with stunning visuals, stutter-free and tear-free gaming, reduced input latency and performance optimization. AMD brings two optional features to the table, which can help boost performance higher. Both Smart Access Memory (SAM) and Rage Mode can help increase performance.
Enabled inside the Radeon Software, Rage Mode is essentially an AMD-sanctioned overclock. Smart Access Memory (SAM) is an entirely different beast, though. AMD Smart Access Memory allows new levels of communication between Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics cards. In other words increase performance above and beyond with Ryzen + Radeon, the benefits of togetherness as I like to say :)
The Aurora Ryzen Edition features new Hardware and Software but our Legend Industrial Design stays intact with an improved airflow pattern. The Legend ID lowers temperatures by up to 8% at the voltage regulator heatsinks over its predecessor. So whether streaming, marathon gaming, or just tackling day to day heavy-processing applications, the new Aurora Ryzen R10 can stay cool under pressure with an innovative airflow design that dissipates heat and gives players an extra boost when they need it most. Available in colors Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon.
