The cold night, the dampness, and, even more so, the snowy biome will make you, sooner or later, ask these questions. You will need warm clothes, the ability to build a fire, and even better-a barrel of mead! And in our guide today, I will tell you how not to freeze to death in the game Valheim. So, let's get started

How to build a fire:

As I already mentioned, in this game there are several ways to protect yourself from the cold, and one of them is to light a fire! If you decide to build a fire on the street, you will need a hammer, five pieces of stone and two pieces of wood, then choose a place on the ground, and set a fire. But if you decide to build a fireplace inside your house, you will have to do a little bit of twisting, because first, the fire can only be built on the ground, which means you will have to make room in the floor, and secondly, you need to make a kind of chimney, because otherwise-you will simply suffocate from the smoke!

How to make warm clothes:

The next way to keep warm and protect yourself from the harmful effects of the cold is to wear warm clothing. But with it, everything is a little more complicated, because it will not be easy to get hold of warm armor in the early stages of the game. For your purposes, a set of wolf armor is perfect, but to make it, you will need a decent amount of silver ingots, wolf skins, head and fangs, as well as chains. Chains fall from ghosts in the swamps, wolves live in the frosty biome, as well as silver ore, its deposits you will find in the mountains. But in order to mine silver ore, you will also need an iron pickaxe, which we described in one of the previous guides. However, there is another problem, because as we have already mentioned, both wolves and silver ore are located in a snowy biome, where deadly cold reigns, and therefore, you need something that will warm you in the mountains. And so, we smoothly move on to the third method!

How to make mead:

The last, at the moment, way to protect yourself from the cold-mead! With it, you can get frost resistance for ten minutes, so let's figure out how to make it. You will need ten units of honey, it can be found in the forest, or by building a hive in your settlement, you can extract it from yourself. Then, you need to get five thistle flowers, it grows in the Black Forest and in the swamps. The next ingredient - eye gradiva, these evil creatures also live in the Black forest. And finally, you need two bags of blood, this ingredient is extracted from leeches that live in the swamp. Collect all the ingredients, and cook yourself a mead, then the body will be good, and the soul will be warmer!
