Only use remaining dell dollars on order and not apply extra points?

I have like $31 and change dell dollars in my account and looking to burn it off before it expires. I have a cart worth like 32.50 ready to go but can't see a way to apply the dollars i have without it dumping another 1000 points to cover the $0.75 instead of just paying that amount in actual cash. The points aren't in danger of expiring so i see no reason to use them yet. Am i just missing something?

Not quite the same problem as yours but I did just encounter something similar. Using just points also has no way to input a set value to spend. Mine for example was $5 I would of preferred to cover by payment but because I had more points I was forced to spend another 1k points to cover it and lose out on $5 worth in points now. If you are forced to do the same as I did, since yours is only like $ 1-2 over I would suggest just searching the site for anything you can squeeze into the cart to get the most of your 1k points have to burn. In your case as long as you'd stay under $40 you'd at least maximize your forced 1k point burn. I know there were some things listed at 4.99. Hopefully though in your case someone has a way to simply just use your dell dollar and payment without reward points.

I have 41600 dell rewards. I plan on getting a computer. I would love to save more, but the guy from Dell told me to use them quick before they vanish  again like they have twice now. I could only assume, after applying my points, there would have to be a way to pay cash.

There is for sure a way to have a 2nd form of payment, just try figuring it out (like I will have to come tomorrow when I order a laptop, need to buy a prepaid card to cover 5 bucks LOL). You could also try adding a card to your account before doing the actual transaction.
Or, you can try to find a coupon code. Code ARMMPPS will work for my order, don't know if it will work for yours (it should though for Maramire!)

Yes, there is definitely the option to add a 2nd form of payment and/or split payment. Unfortunately, when using DR$/points as a payment option, the system automatically uses ALL available DR$/points as it's first payment. There is no way to select a specific amount of DR$ to use towards purchase. I too encountered a similar situation as the OP stated.

It isn't that big of a issue though. If the OP "dump another 1000 points to cover the $0.75" as mentioned, the remaining $9.25 will not be lost... it will sit in the available Dell Dollars for use on next purchase, the same as if it were points... just already converted to $.

Oooooooooooh, I totally misunderstood what OP had meant. Thought they just couldn't SEE how to pay the rest out of pocket LOL Not that they can only be forced to convert more DRP

Damn Dell, they really want you to use their "free" money instead of taking your own o.O That's surprising.

Well, at least a promo/coupon code is still an available option. Otherwise, I think talking on the phone with a Dell person to place the order is the other way to go.

Appreciate the info on the over paying with points converting to dell dollars. I did check mine and that is exactly what was done with mine.
