Gran Turismo Sport Beta vs Gran Turismo 6 Comparison Videos Show the Evolution of GT on PS4

Gran Turismo 6 was already a very pretty game, considering that it was released towards the end of the PS3 generation. Now we’re finally playing its successor, Gran Turismo Sport, even if only in a work-in-progress, beta stage.

If you want to see and hear the differences between the two games, YouTube user MotoGamesTV provided two handy side-by side comparison.

Showing remarkable steady hand, he managed to follow some nicely similar lines at Nürburgring Nordschleife and Brands Hatch while driving the same cars, making the comparisons quite compelling.

Not only we see the differences in graphics, that are especially visible in the density of track-side objects, in lighting, and in the overall level of detail, but the comparison also includes sound. At the bottom of the screen, you can see a “audio on” sign showing which game you’re hearing at any given moment.

Gran Turismo Sport will be released exclusively for PS4 within the year, even if Sony Interactive Entertainment didn’t share a final release date just yet. The beta is currently on version 1.05, which is the one portrayed in the videos.
