The Witcher TV Series In Development For Netflix

Looks like what we've been all thinking about is finally turned into reality: the Witcher is getting turned into a TV show, and it will be done by Netflix!
The show will be based on the eight (8!) original books written by the Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, and it will have him hired as a creative consultant. That means potential for a lot of content spread across multiple seasons, but nothing on this is confirmed.
While the Witcher games we all know are CD Projekt Red's adaptation of Sapkowski's story, they are not considered canon, but the new TV show will stay true to the author's original view.
