Zonitron Productions banned from Steam
If you notice your game count dwindling it might well be due to the ban of Zonitron Productions from Steam. Each of their games will no longer add a +1 to your library.
If Valve would put some manpower and money in active curation the problem wouldn't arise. Besides selling their games and making money and after a falling out with the devs denying the buyers access to achievements and the community market for selling trading cards is not the best move to instill confidence in the platform.
Edit: Before you turn your trading cards from these games into gems try finding a trader in the respective game hubs. You can still craft a badge and increase your Steam level.
To all the commenters saying 'good riddance' - you're somehow missing the point.
It isn't as all these games appeared miraculously on the Steam platform. It was Valve's greed for making money from transaction fees and sales. No wonder users are angry about losing achievements and no longer being able to sell trading cards.
It was Valve's fault to let these developers on the platform in the first place by stubbornly negating the necessity of curating their store which would have avoided the problem we're now facing.
It takes no genius to predict that with Steam Direct and a flood of thousands of shovelware games we'll see more of the same in the future.
