Rocket League counts 38 million players

  • 1066

Rocket League was a surprise in 2015, one of the most popular multiplayer games in 2016, and according to Psyonix developer - 2017 was their most successful year to date. Specifically, Rocket League this year arrived to Nintendo Switch Console, and grew in the presence on eSports scene. All this has resulted in Rocket League so far playing more than 38 million players, which is in the rank of one Overwatch.

To Psyonix in 2018 is intent to keep as many active players as possible then for that purpose they've promised some key changes. In the first place, 2018 for Rocket League will be a year to improve server performance and stability. The game will like that receive a better insight into the quality of the connection how it would determine what is making problems in connection and how to troubleshoot them. New servers will also be added with which matchmaking should be faster.

During 2018 should arrive also Tournament Mode, that is online tournament, first in the beta, and then in full release. In the tournament, players from multiple platforms will compete with each other then will cross-platform multiplayer finally begin to live the way it was imagined from the start.

A wonderful funny game!

I have played this game during countless hours, but 38 million is insane. Even though it costs 20£ on steam, I think it's definitely worth it.

Planetary

I hope it doesn't go f2p though, like starcraft 2 and tf2

Interstellar

Great game and the support the devs have shown for it has only helped it along.  Well deserved.

I liked the game from the  start i remember watching streamers playing it before release on PS4 , the gameplay is more like football out of all the football games where you control a whole team.

Modest

It seemed to me to be losing steam, but evidently not. Good for Psyonix.
