Sad update: Cayde-6 gets killed in a dark Destiny 2: Forsaken story trailer

Destiny 2 has not disappointed fans with its accompanying content so far. Furthermore, last week started rumors that Bungie plans to end its partnership with Activision and sell them their Destiny franchise. This may be accomplished one day, but this year we will surely see more expansions for Destiny 2.

More concrete, this autumn we will see an expansion called Forsaken. It will arrive on September 4th and bring some interesting refreshments to the game. it will be placed on the Reef where we will visit the Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City. But this will not be a tourist visit, of course. Namely, with Cayde-6 we will go to the revenge hunt for eight Barons escaping from prison.

Each of these Barons will be specific to something; for example one Baron is a sniper, others using cold weapons and similar. They will represent a major challenge for us, but also a chance for more creative approaches to the new weapon system. Namely, the Forsaken expansion will remove restrictions on types of weapons, so we can, for example, build an arsenal of three rocket launchers, three shotguns and similar. Or with three bows, since this is a new weapon addition.

In addition to new weapons and other equipment, there will be nine additional powers, including teleportation, fire tornado and so on. All this will be able to use in new missions and adventures, but also in Gambit, which is a competitive PvE 4v4 mode. At first this is a bit confusing, but the premise is quite nice - two teams fight in separate arenas and spawn a powerful enemy into the other team’s arena. With that, one player in each team can cross to the enemy arena and cause chaos there.

Interstellar

is thisa DLC?

but why is there season pass for it?

it's expensive too

Planetary

This is an "MMO" style game.  This is an expansion, the annual pass is for the other "mini expansions" that will be put out with every new season (Winter, Spring, Summer), in the upcomming months.  You will have the option to buy the pass seperately at a later date if you wish.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I enjoy a good story/missions.  I'm not into pvp or accolades or anything like that.  Just give me good gear and weapons, good characters and a great story and I'm set.  As long as there's a story to play I'll keep playing Destiny 2.

Interstellar

That looks freaking sweet! I really want to try out the bow, ridiculous and powerful. Some people will surely love Gambit as well.

Pretty amazing.

As long as the netcode is as bad as Destiny 2 then forget about the PVP. "This is the way it has been" isn't an excuse for exceptionally awful lag compensation. Quake set the standard for PC netcode a long time ago.
