Fortnite Season 7 : Release Date, Battle Pass, Map Changes and Skins
FORTNITE Season 7 may be a long way off, but that won’t stop taking a look at the release date, battle pass, map changes and latest news for the new Season.
- When is the Fortnite Season 7 release date?
Each season introduces a new Battle Pass for the players to complete. It usually includes an in-game countdown to show how long is left until it runs out. At the moment it says the last full day of Fortnite Season 6 will be Wednesday December 5, 2018. This means you will have until then to finish all the weekly challenges and buy all the skins you want. Fortnite Season 6 and 5 both started on a Thursday, so it would make sense if Season 7 has a release date of Thursday, December 6, 2018.
- What time will Fortnite Season 7 start?
Players will be well-acquainted with the dreaded down-time which comes as a result of a massive update. Epic Games usually begins server downtime for new seasons at 9am UK time, or 4am eastern, or 1am pacific time. It is most likely Epic will stick to these times come December.
- Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass:
The Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass is now out, giving players 100 new tiers to unlock. The Battle Royale game is free, but you will need this Battle Pass to unlock the additional challenges. While it’s too early to say how much Epic Games will charge for the Season 7 Battle Pass, we can make an educated guess. The Season 6 Battle Pass costs $9.99 (£7.60) or 950 V-Bucks in-game – the same as the season before it. Therefore, it would make sense if it cost the same come December.
- Map changes and skins:
At the moment it is a mystery what theme, map changes, challenges or skins will be in the new season of Fortnite. Season 5 saw the mysterious purple Cube make its way around the map, before melting into Loot Lake. Fortnite Season 6 has a distinct Halloween theme, which coincides nicely with the October month it is released in. Perhaps they will stick to seasonal themes, and throw a Christmas theme our way? Whatever happens before then, it doesn’t seem likely we’re done with the Cube. The remains of this Cube caused a floating island to rise up into the air. At its base you can see the reformed Fortnite cube, surrounded by a force field.
Directly below it a purple vortex can be seen. Players who attempt to dive into the vortex are sent flying. One theory may be the vortex opens up to reveal a big surprise.
Either way, stay tuned to find out all the Season 7 updates.
