The Elder Scrolls 6 May Be Headed Into Full Production

Fans have been anxiously awaiting The Elder Scrolls 6 for some time, but Bethesda has remained tight-lipped on the project. It appears that the game may be entering full production soon, though, if new job listings are any indicator of where the game is at in its development.

New job listings on Bethesda's website indicate that the company is trying to fill a few positions. The first, and more significant, listing is looking for someone to "collaborate on the implementation of new gameplay features: player and characters’ behaviors, combat and powers mechanics, [and] user interface." In addition, the listing wants someone capable of iterating on gameplay features to ensure a great player experience.

The implication is that Bethesda is gearing up for a project to enter full production. The most likely candidate for that would be The Elder Scrolls 6as it seems a little late for Starfield to still be hiring on new developers. Of course, that also implies that Starfield's development is winding down, so fans may get to see more of the game soon. There have been rumors that Starfield development is in trouble, so it will be interesting to see what becomes of it.

A second job listing on ZeniMax's website is seeking an experienced video editor with the ability to capture and edit 4K game footage. This likely means that the company is working on a trailer for something. While there are quite a few possibilities as to which project that could be, if Starfield is nearing completion it may very well be that. Starfield is rumored to be an Xbox Series X launch title, so it would stand to reason that players will get to see it soon.

There's no real way of telling if the job listing means Elder Scrolls 6 is entering full production, though it would be wonderful to see. Bethesda wants Elder Scrolls 6 to last 10 years, so there will likely be quite a bit of effort poured into it. Hopefully, the game is able to deliver a great experience.

Bethesda still has to win back fans put off by Fallout 76, so it's important that its next games are good quality. There are plenty of things Bethesda should include in Elder Scrolls 6, and hopefully, the company is able to deliver at least a few of them.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in development.
