Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. There will be no campaign mode or a Battle Royale mode.
Battlefield 2042 pre-orders Options:
The Standard Edition PS4, Xbox One and PC versions cost $59.99 / £59.99, while the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions cost $69.99 / £69.99.
The Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition is also available for $89.99 / £89.99 on PC and $99.99 / £99.99 on console.
The Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition is $109.99 / £109.99 on PC or $119.99 / £119.99 on console. Australian pricing is TBC.

Battle pass:
Battlefield 2042 will have a battle pass for each season. A free and premium tier.
Each season show new content. Battlefield 2042 will have four seasons in its first year - with four new Specialists as well as new locations.
Gameplay trailer:
Tanks shooting down helicopters, in the sandy dunes. Soldiers are all over the map. City Map Hourglass’ neon-clad skyscrapers, has elevators which allowing players to reach the top floor. On the top of these skyscrapers, Players can zipline across to other rooftops or utilize their wingsuit.
Dynamic weather in action. A randomly generated tornado through in the Hourglass map.
Battlefield 2024, World and Timeline:
According to Battlefield 2042, the World and the Nations collapsed and slowly chokes to death (Climate catastrophe, less population, no food, water, and energy). The United States and Russia are in war.
The last two superpowers are battling for the last remaining resources. In order to survive, Non-Pat Specialists join both sides.
General Info:
Maps have dynamic weather like tornadoes and sandstorms and will features destructible environments and terrain, ground deformation and levolution.
Access to new weapons: M5A3, K30 and AV9.
Vehicles: Players will able to access tanks, fighter jets, helicopters and more - You can request them at any time to any location.
Specialists can change their weapon configuration whit the new ‘Plus System’. Players can change their scope, under type, barrel and ammo type on the move.
Wingsuit: Access to a wingsuit so they can glide in maps.
AI Player Option for: Play against and with AI players. You’ll also be able to play with a mix of real-life and AI players. These AI players will scale based on a player’s skill and AI battles will contribute to a player's overall progress.
Game mode:
All-Out War: Features 128-player maps on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, while PS4 and Xbox One players will have 64-player.
Conquest mode: "Classic" Fighting over a big map.
Breakthrough: One side attacking and the other defending, to capture areas.
Battlefield 2042 will feature two other multiplayer experiences.
Hazard Zone: Squad-based game-type. This is not a battle royale mode, instead, it’s apparently a “modern take on the multiplayer experience that is distinctly DICE but very different from All-Out Warfare’s Conquest or Breakthrough modes”.
Next multiplayer Gameplay will be on July 22. We will see an another completely new mode “a love letter to Battlefield fans and one that long-time players will feel right at home with”.

Kaleidoscope "Songdo, South Korea"
Huge skyscrapers with multiple floors, canals, a TV station, and ziplines allowing you to traverse across rooftops.
Manifest "Branai Island, Singapore"
Fight for the to supply lines. Massive container yard and automated cranes, ships that contain capture points.
Orbital "Kourou, French Guiana"
Battling over a rocket launch site, and the rocket can even take off.
Discarded "Alang, India"
Fighting to secure nuclear assets. Huge stranded ships around this map Check out ‘Colossus’ which hides something inside.
Renewal "Eastern Desert, Egypt"
Fighting for a technology center in the Desert. A two halves map.
Hourglass "Doha, Qatar"
Fighting for a lost convoy in the neon city, with skyscrapers. Sandstorms pass through, a stadium overrun by sand, and a huge highway intersection where the convoy has come to stop.
Breakaway "Queen Maud Land, Antarctica"
Fighting over oil and gas reserves, and features exploding silos and distinct combat areas. This map is broken into sectors and multiple objectives.
Specialist:
Specialists in Battlefield 2042, have their own Special Trait and Speciality. You can fully customizable your loadouts and use any weapon.
The new Battlefield will launch with 10 Specialists, with each falling under a traditional class of either Engineer, Assault, Support or Recon.
