Epic Game store requiring 2 factor authentication for free games and maybe date for the end of free games

Epic just twitted now that from now on they will requiring 2 factor authentication for reclaming any free games. They also say this runs from April 28th to May 21st, so i guess that's the end for the end of the weekly freebies.

Will be missed

Interesting, I suppose it's one way of encouraging better security for accounts. I wonder how many people will bother to do this if they only claim the free games, I know there's a lot of people who claim the free games even though they tend to stick with Steam or other providers.

They really went big with the giveaways. I have to check if I got the game from Epic before I buy it. They spoiled us to the point people will get mad for ending it. I hope they have a big finale if it's true.

Seems like a good idea. No harm in going the 2FA authentication.

There are 3 options found under your account settings:

1) Authenticator App

2) SMS Authentication

3) Email Authentication

I'm using Email Authentication and it does take about 2 minutes to receive the Email containing the code.

I thought I'd be able to play some of them free games in lock down. But I still have tons to play on steam that I built up over time. I still add more if there free. Even if there extra steps.
